About The Position

Speechify is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to support its growing user base and work on new projects. The company's mission is to ensure reading is never a barrier to learning, with over 50 million users benefiting from its text-to-speech products. Speechify operates in a 100% distributed setting with no offices. This role is ideal for someone who thinks strategically, enjoys fast-paced environments, is passionate about product decisions, and has experience building great user experiences. Requirements

• Experience working on products that scaled to a large user base
• Track record of working on various products from inception to decent traction, with responsibility for engineering the product
• Customer obsession and commitment to providing the best possible experience
• Product thinking and ability to make thoughtful decisions about product evolution
• Ability to work quickly, generate ideas, and decide what can ship now versus what needs more time
• Focus and ability to know when to engage and when to be heads down in a busy, remote startup environment
• Swift Programming Language
• SwiftUI experience
• Experience in Multithreading Programming
• Working with CI/CD infrastructure
• Experience with Fastlane
• SOLID principles, the ability to write every single class according to SOLID
• Experience with Git and understanding of different Git strategies

Responsibilities

• Lead key engineering and product decisions
• Actively ship production code for the Speechify iOS app
• Work within a dedicated product team
• Participate in product discussions to shape the product roadmap
• Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture
