Software Engineer, Intern - Labs (Summer 2027)

DoorDash USA•Sunnyvale, CA
•$107,400 - $158,000•Onsite

About The Position

DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash working at the intersection of software engineering and robotics to solve business problems. Interns may join the Perception, Autonomy Platform, or DoorDash Air Cloud (Foundry) team. Perception helps Dot understand the world using vision foundation models and vision-language models, supported by lidar and radar, and works on rare scenarios, adverse weather, reinforcement learning, and end-to-end driving. Autonomy Platform builds the software foundation that enables Dot to operate reliably at scale, including the robot operating system, cloud data-processing pipelines, and compute optimization for AI models. DoorDash Air Cloud (Foundry) builds cloud software powering autonomous delivery, from order eligibility for drone or robot delivery through merchant handoff and flight management. This is a 12-week summer internship in which interns are immersed in their teams and develop, maintain, and ship products. Interns collaborate with teammates to solve customer problems, receive mentorship and feedback, participate in programming and social events, and present their summer learnings at the end of the internship. The 2027 program is in person at a DoorDash Labs office in San Francisco or Sunnyvale. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; F-1 students may qualify using CPT, while J-1 students are not supported for internships.
