Software Engineer Intern
About The Position
Kos is the world's first virtual finance employee for America’s industrial revival, processing invoices for fast-growing infrastructure and defense companies. Backed by $12M from prominent investors and industry leaders, Kos is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to work alongside the founding engineering team on bounded projects. The intern will contribute to areas such as eval infrastructure, ERP integration stubs, internal ops dashboards, and the agent training pipeline, with their work landing in production at live customers. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn how an AI-native product works under the hood, including the agent loop, eval harness, and production plumbing, and to contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and the team's culture.
Requirements
- Current CS or ML undergrad or Master's student with a hands-on project or internship track record
- Fluent in one of Python, TypeScript, or Go
- Experience with LLMs, agents, or computer-use workflows
- Demonstrated experience in building projects, not just reading about them
- Comfortable working in-person at our SF office for the whole internship
Responsibilities
- Build and ship a bounded project in one of: eval infrastructure, ERP integration stubs, internal ops dashboards, or the agent training pipeline
- Partner with the founding team, who will serve as reviewers and mentors
- Learn how an AI-native product works under the hood, including the agent loop, the eval harness, and the production plumbing
- Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and the culture of the team
