Software Engineer Intern
About The Position
Apex Capital offers a flexible, part-time internship that provides real-world professional experience alongside coursework. Interns work directly with the software engineering team on meaningful projects, with exposure to company leadership, in a fun and friendly environment. This role reports to a department supervisor who sets expectations, oversees training, guides projects, and provides regular feedback. Many interns return for full-time employment. Apex Capital does not sponsor work visas; applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. full-time, now and in the future. This is a paid internship.
Requirements
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.
- Currently pursuing a Computer Science major.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle.
- Understanding of software troubleshooting.
- Understanding of CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with C, C++, or Java.
- Local to the DFW area.

Responsibilities
- Work with software engineering managers and other software engineers to help with development tasks related to applications and ongoing projects.
- Tasks may include coding, test-driven development, and other tasks that support the software engineering department’s goals.
