About The Position

Visionist is seeking graduates from 2028 and 2029 for our Software Engineering Internship Program. Interns will collaborate within small development teams to design and build real-world applications using current technologies. This program offers exposure to industry practices, including agile development, and opportunities to build professional relationships through participation in the Annual AFCEA SIPS competition. Visionist has a 15-year history of solving complex software and analysis challenges for the Intelligence Community. Requirements

Expected 2028 or 2029 graduation with a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field
Eligibility to obtain a Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph
Proven application development experience either from a school related project, personal projects or past internships
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to demonstrate initiative
Detail-oriented, results-oriented, and action-oriented
U.S citizenship required (green card holders and permanent residents are not eligible)
Applicants selected will be required to obtain / maintain a government security clearance

Nice To Haves

Java is the primary language, but you can also expect to use React, JavaScript, and AWS

Responsibilities

Work on a group project that includes backend, user-interface, and content management
Participate in the full development life cycle including research, design, testing and running the systems
Explore new technologies and find the best tools
Develop a working knowledge of GitHub using pull requests, feature branching and code versioning
Gain debugging and problem-solving skills, along with oral and written communication skills
Explore new technologies and work with the most advanced tools
