About The Position

Hadrian is looking for a Software Engineer Summer Intern to join the team building the software backbone of our autonomous factory. You'll work alongside experienced engineers on real production systems from internal tooling and data pipelines to the software that powers factory operations and customer-facing workflows. This is a hands-on role where your code will ship, and your contributions will directly impact how Hadrian scales.

Requirements

  • Current university student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar)
  • Familiarity with backend development, APIs, or data engineering
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through ambiguous technical challenges
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Excitement for manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or industrial systems
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, highly ambiguous environment
  • Willingness to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Responsibilities

  • Build and improve internal tools, dashboards, and automation systems that support factory operations
  • Contribute to backend services, APIs, and data pipelines used across engineering, operations, and quality teams
  • Help design and implement features that improve visibility into production workflows, capacity, and program status
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, program management, and quality to understand requirements and deliver software solutions
  • Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
  • Surface technical risks and contribute to architectural discussions
