About The Position

Astranis is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for the Enterprise Systems team for Fall 2026. This role is for students currently enrolled at a four-year university and typically lasts for twelve weeks. Interns will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to meaningful work. Past interns have built software that is still in use today, and many have become full-time engineers at Astranis. The Enterprise Systems team builds software and analytics tools to enable the end-to-end engineering process required to take a satellite design into space.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
Experience with Python
Demonstrated ability to personally design, write, and test software from scratch
U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required (To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States, or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the engineering team to design, build, and test software that Astranis teams rely on every day to design, test, and manufacture the hardware that powers our satellites.
Help develop and maintain internal applications that support test operations, scheduling, and production tracking across manufacturing.
Support internal tools used directly by hardware design and supply chain teams to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Build automated workflows using orchestration tools to reduce manual work across teams.
Contribute to our data warehouse infrastructure, data ingestion pipelines, and BI tooling to power business analytics and AI workflows.
