About The Position

We are seeking a Tester with emphasis on Automated testing and AI tools. This role involves using Automated testing tools that the government requests, evaluating and implementing automated test tools and strategies, developing and maintaining automated test scripts, writing and reporting on system test cases, analyzing requirements and designing test plans, and collaborating with the development team. The position also includes performing validation after deployment dry runs, new functionality and regression testing, validating proposed system architecture, and working with other contract staff for knowledge sharing. The Tester will be familiar and proficient with testing software and methodologies, providing recommendations for production implementation strategies, advanced troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Collaboration with management and IT counterparts to define and maintain IT testing strategies aligned with Agile-Scrum development is also a key aspect of this role. The goal is to ensure operational software is defect-free and design objectives are met through automated and manual testing methods. Documented test processes and procedures will be developed and submitted upon request. The role also involves testing and optimizing the functionality of systems, networks, and data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, Engineering, Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Use Automated testing tools that government requests, including but not limited to Playwright & TypeScript, Quick Test Professional, Load Runners, Selenium Tool Suite, Team Foundation Server
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
  • Write, implement, and report status for system test cases.
  • Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports, serve as subject matter specialist, and provide testing knowledge for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software hardware applications.
  • Analyze requirements and design test plans to prioritize test activities for each iteration.
  • Provide assistance to the development team for scheduling and maintaining of the resources needed to perform automated testing.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test scripts.
  • Analyze and document test results and recommend user story adjustments.
  • Perform validation after deployment dry run.
  • Perform new functionality and regression testing throughout the sprint cycle, including load testing.
  • Validate proposed system architecture and run test procedures to ensure that the user stories are met.
  • Work with Test Engineer - Intermediate contract staff related to cross-training and knowledge sharing activities.
  • Familiar and proficient Testing software and methodologies and provide recommendations to the government related to production implementation strategies, advanced troubleshooting techniques and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with management and IT counterparts to define, refine, and maintain IT testing strategies, ensuring strategies are aligned to the goals of the Agile-Scrum development environment.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual testing methods to confirm operational software is defect free and design objectives are met.
  • Ensure documented Test processes and procedures are developed and submitted upon request for review by the TSC Enterprise Services group.
  • Test and optimize the functionality of systems, networks, and data.
  • Continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Completing all training requirements and fulfilling all self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks and serving on safety committees and teams.
  • Conforming to the Amentum Quality Policy and carrying out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts.
  • Reading and understanding Quality Management and Customer Satisfaction responsibilities.
