About The Position

Horizon3 is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company dedicated to the mission of enabling organizations to proactively find and fix and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. Our flagship product, the NodeZeroTM platform, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and other key assessment operations that scale across the largest internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. NodeZero has been adopted by organizations of all sizes, from small educational institutions to government agencies and Global 100 enterprises. It is used by ITOps/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, and MSSPs and MSPs. We are a fusion of former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators, startup engineers, and formerly frustrated cybersecurity practitioners. We're committed to helping solve our common security problems: ineffective security tools, false positives resulting in alert fatigue, blind spots, "checkbox” security culture, cybersecurity skills shortage, and the long lead time and expense of hiring outside consultants. Collectively, we are a team of learn it alls, committed to a culture of respect, collaboration, ownership, and results. The Software Engineer on the Integrations Delivery & Support team builds and maintains the first-party integrations that connect NodeZero to the security tools our customers already run. When NodeZero completes a pentest, it produces a rich set of findings — your job is to make sure those findings flow automatically into CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Splunk, ServiceNow, and the rest of the customer's security stack, so they can act on results without context switching. This team owns the full lifecycle of each integration: design, delivery, customer enablement, and ongoing support. You'll ship integrations that are reliable, observable, and well-documented enough that customers can configure them without calling support. This role reports to the IDS Engineering Manager and works alongside a P4 senior engineer.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least one year building production integrations or connectors against third-party APIs
  • Experience consuming REST or GraphQL APIs and handling the real-world messiness that comes with them: auth token refresh, pagination, rate limiting, partial failure, schema drift
  • Ability to read and understand third-party API documentation and translate it into a reliable, tested connector
  • Proficiency in Go or Python — this team's primary languages
  • Comfort working in containerized and cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS)
  • Understanding of webhook and event-driven integration patterns
  • You think about the person configuring your integration, not just the system consuming it — clear error messages, sane defaults, useful logs
  • You read customer bug reports and turn them into concrete root causes, not just workarounds

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with any of the platforms this team integrates: CrowdStrike Falcon, SentinelOne, Splunk, ServiceNow, Jira, or similar security and ITSM tools
  • Familiarity with the cybersecurity ecosystem — EDR, SIEM, SOAR concepts and how security teams use them operationally
  • Experience designing integration data models or field-mapping schemas
  • Background in customer-facing or product-adjacent engineering roles where reliability directly impacted user experience

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship first-party integration connectors between NodeZero and customer security platforms (EDR, SIEM, SOAR, ITSM)
  • Design integration schemas and data mappings that translate NodeZero finding structures into each platform's native format
  • Maintain and evolve existing integrations as third-party APIs change, customer feedback surfaces gaps, and new platforms are prioritized
  • Write integration documentation and configuration guides that are good enough for a customer to use without a support call
  • Diagnose and resolve integration failures reported by customers or caught by monitoring
  • Work with the Integrations Platform team to ensure connectors are built on shared infrastructure, not one-off scripts

Benefits

  • health, vision & dental insurance for you and your family
  • a flexible vacation policy
  • generous parental leave
  • equity package in the form of stock options
