About The Position

Generalist is building general intelligence for the physical world through embodied foundation models, with an initial focus on dexterity. The company brings together AI and robotics expertise to develop the data, models, and hardware needed for robots to interact intelligently with the physical world.

The Software Engineer: Infrastructure role owns infrastructure across the stack. It supports high-scale management, storage, and processing of petabytes of robotics data, as well as the APIs, services, and monitoring systems that depend on that infrastructure. The role includes providing cost-effective, high-throughput CPU and GPU compute, building and operating infrastructure for processing and storing data, and maintaining infrastructure and data security.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience managing high-scale cloud infrastructure using tools such as Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Strong familiarity with AWS services or equivalent cloud services and their permission models.

Nice To Haves

• Strong opinions on how to properly use coding agents in an infrastructure setting.
