About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer III opening for our client. This role involves leading complex systems analysis, application design, development, testing, debugging, and implementation. The engineer will design and develop solutions using Java/Spring Boot, microservices, React.js, iOS/SwiftUI, and Android/Jetpack Compose. This position serves as both a technical lead and an individual contributor on complex projects. Responsibilities include preparing technical and functional specifications, project estimates, test plans, and system documentation, as well as analyzing complex application integrations, interfaces, platforms, and dependencies. The role also involves coordinating development activities, mentoring less experienced developers, collaborating with various teams, and evaluating technologies to recommend solutions and improvements. Ensuring application performance, development standards, risk controls, and regulatory requirements are maintained is also key. The scope of responsibilities includes working independently on high-level systems analysis and technical development, leading project activities, coordinating the work of other technical resources, driving project milestones and delivery schedules, and interacting with senior management, technology teams, clients, and vendors. The role provides technical leadership, mentoring, and support on complex projects. Supervisory responsibilities include directing and monitoring less experienced technical resources, coordinating development tasks, providing mentoring and technical guidance, and monitoring project-related staff performance as assigned.

Requirements

Associate degree and 6 years of systems analysis/application development experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
Strong application development experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and React.js.
Experience with iOS/SwiftUI and/or Android/Jetpack Compose.
Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Experience coordinating application development with business units.
Experience recommending and implementing system solutions and driving project delivery.
Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects and work independently.
