Position Summary This role requires an experienced and highly skilled professional to play a critical role within the Enterprise Capital Management Technology (ECMT) regulatory ecosystem, supporting firm-wide initiatives including Basel III Endgame (B3E), Capital Model Enhancements, FRTB, Basel IV, and Finance Regulatory Reporting (FRR).The successful candidate will lead delivery across Saber Banking Book workstreams covering Wholesale, Retail, Securities, and Equities calculators, while supporting the Basel III Endgame program targeted for January 2028 implementation. This role demands a strong techno-functional leader with deep regulatory domain expertise, capable of delivering scalable solutions across Saber and enterprise data integration platforms, which are critical to Finance, Treasury, and Risk operations. This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, or techno-functional roles
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in Spark and Hadoop ecosystems
  • Experience designing and building large-scale data processing systems and ETL pipelines
  • Strong understanding of Basel III/IV, FRTB, FRR, or similar regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with data integration, transformation, and enterprise data platforms
  • Solid understanding of system design, data structures, and performance optimization
  • Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks and managing cross-functional teams
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Saber / DataConnect or similar capital reporting platforms
  • Exposure to Basel III Endgame (B3E) or large-scale regulatory transformation programs
  • Experience leveraging ML/AI or LLM-based solutions in data or product contexts
  • Familiarity with streaming data architectures and real-time processing frameworks
  • Knowledge of cloud-based or hybrid data platforms
  • Prior experience in mentoring teams and leading multi-stream delivery programs

Responsibilities

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Automates manual release activities
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
  • Lead delivery of Capital Model Enhancements across Saber Banking Book workstreams
  • Drive execution of Basel III Endgame (B3E) program initiatives
  • Architect and implement solutions for large-scale regulatory data processing and reporting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Technology
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and data governance requirements
  • Provide technical leadership, coordination, and oversight across multiple high-impact programs
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams
  • Optimize and maintain data pipelines and enterprise data platforms
  • Support delivery timelines for 2025–2027 regulatory commitments and beyond
