About The Position

The replenishment team within Sam’s Club supply chain focuses on developing next-generation applications to enhance replenishment processes. This team collaborates closely with product management, project teams, and business partners to design and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. Members apply strong technical skills in software development, testing, and continuous integration to address complex challenges. The team emphasizes iterative development, problem-solving, and innovation to support efficient supply chain operations. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and software design principles.
  • Strong technical acumen with experience in platform design, API development, and component services.
  • Proficiency in debugging, testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience with developing and supporting complex systems using Java programming language.
  • 2+ years of experience in hands-on coding/development.
  • 2+ years of experience with Java/JEE/NodeJS, Spring Framework.
  • 2+ years of experience with Databases: Relational (Azure SQL, Postgres).
  • Experience in working on microservice architectures.
  • Proven experience with pub/sub frameworks such as Kafka/MQ.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to assist in development.
  • Java experience with Spring Boot or Spring
  • Experience building APIs like RESTful, microservices, Kafka or messaging
  • Experience with architecture design
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • OR 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product, project, business, and user experience teams to develop high-level designs for small to medium projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve business and production issues through root cause analysis and coordinated action plans.
  • Translate project requirements into technical solutions, write code, and conduct unit testing to ensure quality delivery.
  • Manage complex projects by researching alternatives and ensuring sustainable, scalable, and secure implementations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to users and junior engineers, including offshore associates.
  • Develop automation scripts and implement telemetry features to enhance continuous integration and delivery processes.
  • Monitor application performance, conduct maintenance, and analyze metrics to optimize system reliability.
