This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM), a 63-year-old Program with a long-standing history of Mission Success and of a strong partnership with our Navy Customer! This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Cape Canaveral FL and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. Please note we will not provide relocation services for this position. The new Software Engineer will support the LE2 Program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Requirements

  • Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C++, LabView, Python, Java, TestStand
  • 3+ years of professional experience for this role.
  • Must obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
  • Experience working on project teams and development efforts
  • Experience with one of more of the following: developing software requirements, CONOPs, and software design
  • Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement)
  • Issue Tracking and troubleshooting experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Experience in simulation software development, software testing and validation, and software configuration management
  • Experience with Telemetry Data Processing (TDP)
  • Experience working with RF
  • Experience with multiple OS platforms such as Linux and Windows
  • Systems thinking mindset
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps processes and culture
  • Experience with Jira or other Atlassian tool sets
  • Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure
  • Possess strong communication, social, and problem resolution skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the EGSE Organization as a software engineer.
  • Support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability.
  • Collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, electrical and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology.
  • Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to support needs.
