About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer III opening for our client. This is a remote, 12-month contract position. The role involves leading complex systems analysis, application design, development, testing, debugging, and implementation. The engineer will design and develop solutions using Java/Spring Boot, microservices, React.js, iOS/SwiftUI, and Android/Jetpack Compose. They will serve as a technical lead and individual contributor on complex projects, preparing technical and functional specifications, project estimates, test plans, and system documentation. Responsibilities also include analyzing complex application integrations, interfaces, platforms, and dependencies, coordinating development activities, mentoring less experienced developers, and collaborating with various teams including development, operations, technology, business units, clients, and vendors. The role requires evaluating technologies and recommending solutions, processes, and improvements, while ensuring application performance, development standards, risk controls, and regulatory requirements are maintained. The scope includes working independently on high-level systems analysis and technical development, leading project activities, coordinating other technical resources, driving project milestones and delivery schedules, interacting with senior management, and providing technical leadership and mentoring.

Requirements

Associate degree and 6 years of systems analysis/application development experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
Strong application development experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and React.js.
Experience with iOS/SwiftUI and/or Android/Jetpack Compose.
Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Experience coordinating application development with business units.
Experience recommending and implementing system solutions and driving project delivery.
Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects and work independently.
