About The Position

As a Software Engineer III at Walmart, you will lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the full development lifecycle. You will design, implement, and maintain high-quality code while integrating advanced AI and machine learning components to enhance platform capabilities. This role demands strong technical judgment, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving to meet business objectives. You will also mentor peers, contribute to innovation, and ensure alignment with Walmart’s standards, driving excellence in software development and operational performance. The Walmart Finance Technology – Finance Data Factory (FDF) team develops advanced data platforms and workflows to manage large-scale data processing for visualization and downstream applications. Leveraging machine learning and statistical modeling, the team enhances transparency, governance, and automation. Focused on improving business partner experiences, the team standardizes core processes and applies reporting and predictive analytics to deliver timely insights. Members collaborate to design, develop, and maintain scalable, data-driven solutions that support decision-making and operational excellence across the organization.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of software development
Professional frontend development experience using Javascript, HTML/CSS, ReactJs or next.js
Strong Java, Spring framework, Kafka, SQL and cloud experience
Strong experience in RESTful Microservices
Container technologies such as Docker on Kubernetes
Experience with cloud native technology, CI/CD (KITT)
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Strong experience with UI tech stack using React JS, React native
Experience with UI testing frameworks like Jest
Software development (Java or Python, Pysprak is preferable)
Solid skills in java stack (Spring, Maven, Hibernate)
Strong experience within the Cloud Services using Azure or Google GCP
Experience with working with CI/CD (Jenkins/Travis)
Experience working with message stream systems (Pub/Sub -Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Minimum 4 years of software development

4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
