About The Position

CRC Group, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer III to deliver technically complex solutions, perform system integration support, and consult with business product owners to understand end goals and offer solutions. The role involves developing customized coding, software integration, performing analysis, and configuring solutions using project-specific tools. Responsibilities include leading and participating in the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions, adhering to company standards with robust unit testing and support for subsequent release testing. The position also requires building non-functional monitoring capabilities, providing escalated support for complex applications in production, and building/maintaining security controls and monitoring. This role typically leads moderately complex projects and participates in larger initiatives, solving complex technical and operational problems, and acting as a resource for less experienced teammates. In an Agile environment, the engineer will deliver high-quality working software, automate manual/reusable tasks, engage with the business from the design phase, leverage continuous engineering practices, refine user stories, develop and maintain automated unit testing, support integration and functional testing, provide automated monitoring capabilities, warranty support, and knowledge transfer to production support. Code will be developed in accordance with acceptance criteria established by the Product Owner.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Systems or related field of study plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or 6 years of experience in Software Engineering training or work experience in IT.
Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Systems or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or 4 years of experience in Software Engineering training or work experience in IT.

Responsibilities

Deliver technically complex solutions.
Perform system integration support for all project work.
Consult and partner with the business product owners to understand the end goal and offer solutions and recommendations during the design.
Develop customized coding, software integration, perform analysis, configure solutions, using tools specific to the project or the area.
Lead and participate in the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions in adherence to company standards, including robust unit testing and support for subsequent release testing.
Build non-functional monitoring capabilities and provide escalated support for highly complex applications in production.
Build in and maintain security controls and monitoring in support of company standards.
Typically lead moderately complex projects and participate in larger, more complex initiatives.
Solve complex technical and operational problems.
Act as a resource for teammates with less experience.
May oversee the work of a small team.
Responsible for delivering high quality working software and automating manual/reusable tasks working directly, and engage with, the business from the beginning of the design work.
Leverage continuous engineering practices to deliver business value regarding effectiveness of the design.
Actively participate in refining user stories.
Responsible for design, developing, and maintaining automated unit testing, and supporting integration and functional testing.
Responsible for providing automated monitoring capabilities, providing warranty support, and providing knowledge transfer to production support.
Develop code in accordance with the acceptance criteria established by the Product Owner.
