About The Position

CTG is seeking a Software Engineer III for a client in Buffalo, New York, for a five-month assignment. The engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain complex software applications, including AI applications built with prompt engineering and agentic workflows. The role also involves implementing APIs, CI/CD pipelines, cloud solutions, and system integrations; troubleshooting technical issues; and ensuring application security, performance, and reliability. The engineer will lead technical projects, document work, establish development standards, collaborate with business and technology teams, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

Associate degree and 6 years of systems analysis/application development experience, or 8 years of combined education and work experience, including 6 years of relevant experience.
Experience with AI application development, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows.
Strong coding, testing, CI/CD, API, cloud, and system integration skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
Ability to lead technical initiatives and work independently on complex projects.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.

Banking application and framework experience.
Advanced knowledge of application architecture and integrated systems.
