This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM), a 63-year-old Program with a long-standing history of Mission Success and of a strong partnership with our Navy Customer! Are you an enthusiastic individual with a strong planning background that can thrive in an exciting fast-paced dynamic environment? This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Littleton, CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. The new Software Engineer will support the LE2 Program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong software engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM!

Requirements

  • Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C#/C++, LabView, Python, TestStand
  • +5 years of professional experience for this role.
  • You will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C#/C++, LabView, Python, TestStand
  • Experience working on project teams and development efforts
  • Experience developing software requirements, CONOPs, and software design
  • Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment) and HARDWARE/SOFTWARE Integration efforts on Test Equipment
  • Issue Tracking and troubleshooting experience
  • US Citizenship required: Secret Clearance needed to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Experience in simulation software development, software testing and validation, and software configuration management
  • Systems thinking mindset
  • Test Equipment familiarity and integration
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps processes and culture
  • Experience with Jira or other Atlassian tool sets
  • Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure
  • Possess strong communication, social, and problem resolution skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the EGSE Organization as a software engineer.
  • Support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability.
  • Collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, electrical and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology.
  • Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to support needs.
