About The Position

The Software Engineer will operate in a fast-paced development environment focused on delivering tools that transform complex data into actionable intelligence. This senior-level role emphasizes leading the design, development, and enhancement of content presentation tools that enable users to effectively view and interact with data. The engineer will collaborate across teams to modernize systems, improve data parsing and visualization capabilities, and ensure solutions support mission-critical analysis and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Four (4) additional years of Software Engineering experience on similar projects may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
  • Twenty (20) years of Software Engineering experience
  • Twenty-four (24) years of experience without a degree
  • Extensive development experience with Java
  • Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML and CSS
  • Experience developing full stack applications with a focus on data visualization and user interaction

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with React and Material UI
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Rancher for container management
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab pipelines
  • Experience leading development efforts and mentoring junior engineers

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of software features for data presentation and visualization tools
  • Enhance and modernize existing systems to improve performance, usability, and scalability
  • Develop and optimize capabilities for parsing and displaying complex datasets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-focused solutions
  • Troubleshoot complex defects and provide technical guidance on issue resolution
  • Support development of interactive, responsive user interfaces for data exploration
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction of the platform
  • Translate complex data into meaningful, user-driven insights
