About The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer II to join our engineering team and contribute to the development, automation, integration, and security of software solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in DevSecOps practices, software development, automation scripting, and configuration management. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality engineering solutions. You will work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- Minimum 2 years of professional software development or DevSecOps experience.
- Hands-on experience with Git and Bitbucket source code management systems.
- Strong experience with Python and/ or PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Experience implementing and supporting DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure software development practices.
- Familiarity with software configuration management, build, and release processes.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

Responsibilities
- Implement and support DevSecOps practices across the software development lifecycle.
- Create and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python and PowerShell.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to security, coding, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software integration, build, deployment, and configuration issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation opportunities and process enhancements.
- Develop technical documentation, user guides, and operational procedures.
