About The Position

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level. As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Global Payments of Healthcare payments, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Requirements

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
Demonstrated and solid experience in C# and .NET technologies
Proficient in relational databases and SQL
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
Experienced with AWS services and cloud-native patterns for deployment, monitoring, and scalability
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Responsibilities

Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
Write secure, clean, and maintainable code in C#/.NET with increasing autonomy.
Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation
Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards
Contribute to the design and integration of AI/ML and GenAI capabilities—such as intelligent automation, anomaly/fraud detection, and data-driven decisioning—into payment workflows.
Build cloud-native services on AWS, applying modern patterns for deployment, observability, resiliency, and scalability.
Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation
