About The Position
Join Walmart as a Software Engineer II, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software solutions. The Receipt Check team develops and manages Sam’s Club’s Exit Technology, enabling real-time purchase verification on Zebra TC53 devices. By integrating event-driven services with Machine Learning and Computer Vision, the team supports associates in delivering a seamless exit experience. The platform connects multiple checkout methods, ensuring consistent validation across payment types. Designed for resilience and configurability, it evolves through data-driven feedback. The team is dedicated to enhancing member experience by providing reliable, efficient, and compliant exit solutions that drive operational excellence and foster innovation.
Requirements
- Proficiency in software development with expertise in Java and object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with software design, architecture, and development life cycle in Agile environments.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automation tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, telemetry, and secure coding standards.
- Ability to write clean, minimalistic, and robust code adhering to coding guidelines and best practices.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies, defect management, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Competence in version control systems and database technologies including SQL and NoSQL.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area OR 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
