About The Position

The Software Engineer II is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and systems that support business objectives. This role works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions while contributing to the ongoing improvement of development processes, application performance, and system reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
  • Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to gather and define technical requirements.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in software design reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and production issues.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and system testing.
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of applications in development, test, and production environments.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to implement scalable and secure solutions.
  • Assist in optimizing application performance and reliability.
  • Maintain technical documentation related to software design, development, and support.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
