Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Software Engineer II [Embedded / Radar] to be part of their product development team for the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Development experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related languages/tools.
  • Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret U.S. security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Current DoD Secret and Top Secret Clearance.
  • Introductory Experience with design, code, integration, and test of software into a large software baseline and large system.
  • Proven ability to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) Clearances.
  • Experience developing Radar Software applications.
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.
  • Direct experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues.
  • Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars.

Responsibilities

  • Work on technical problems and provide innovative solutions, with minimal guidance.
  • Contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration.
  • Develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities.
  • Utilize investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
  • Work with teams across multiple disciplines, internal and external.
  • Participate in program and customer meetings/reviews.
  • Support the team leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution.
  • Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality.
  • Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.
