As a Software Engineer II on the Honeywell Aerospace Flight Management System team, you will operate in a fast-paced, collaborative development environment alongside experienced software and systems engineers. Your role will involve contributing to the fulfillment of technical requirements, supporting functional load deliveries, and ensuring strict adherence to certification standards in the design, development, and integration of highly complex systems for the Anthem™ Next Generation Avionics program.

Requirements

  • Software development experience
  • Experience with flight management software

  • Experience participating in requirements and code reviews
  • Experience collaborating with systems, hardware, test, and certification teams
  • Experience supporting software integration, testing, and debugging

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain core flight management software supporting next‑generation avionics systems
  • Implement high quality software solutions that meet performance, security, and reliability requirements
  • Participate in requirements and code reviews, contributing ideas that improve software quality and development practices
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, test, and certification teams to deliver integrated software solutions
  • Support software integration, testing, and debugging in laboratory environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects across the development and integration lifecycle
  • Continually grow your technical skills while applying industry standards and aerospace best practices.
