This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

Requirements

  • Strong computer science background, critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal skill along with a willingness to be highly collaborative in coming up with solutions.
  • Responsible for development effort of many critical application in payments, wealth for authentication, authorization and support operational excellence with never-down strategy.
  • Proven hands-on experience (5-7 years) as a Full Stack developer with hands-on knowledge of JAVA, Spring Framework, Agile, Containers, MicroServices, REST Services.
  • Web services development with SOAP/REST frameworks using multiple protocols.
  • Relational database experience and demonstrated abilities in using SQL.
  • Working knowledge of using Agile methodology in a fast paced environment and supporting program increments leading to delivery of features/stories.
  • Demonstrated record of developing successful applications that are highly integrated and reliable
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned tech leads.

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in programming language(s) required for the role
  • Demonstrated experience with Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Sonar, and JIRA.
  • Working knowledge with KAFKA, MQ, Cassandra(NovSQL)
  • Experience in Redis and Cochroach DB.
  • Coordinating with external vendors and assisting in resolving technical complexities.
  • Facilitates team planning ceremonies against backlog /prioritized work; Understands risks and can apply the controls necessary to mitigate; Knows when to escalate risks.
  • Experience working with financial applications

Responsibilities

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests applications that support business units and functions.
  • Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex distributed applications.
