About The Position

Loch Harbour Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Software Engineer II to design, develop, and enhance software applications and automation solutions supporting mission-critical financial, corporate operations, and accountable property management functions. This mid-level engineering role requires hands-on development expertise, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to translate operational requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions. The position requires full-time onsite support in San Diego, CA and an active Secret clearance at time of hire.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as: Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Information Technology Information Systems Mathematics or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Atlassian Jira, Jira Service Management, Microsoft O365 Power Platform
  • Experience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting
  • Experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting
  • Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
  • Python
  • JavaScript
  • Active Secret Security Clearance (required at time of hire)
  • Ability to work onsite in San Diego, CA

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications and automation solutions
  • Lead over-the-shoulder and virtual training sessions for personnel across supported platforms
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for automation tools and custom-developed applications
  • Analyze, refactor, and improve source code to enhance performance and maintainability
  • Design, develop, test, and implement automated workflows using Jira, Jira Service Management, and Microsoft O365 Power Platform
  • Translate operational and business requirements into technical designs and automated solutions
  • Develop and maintain applications supporting material and asset management automation, including barcode scanning and RFID technologies across Microsoft, Android, and Apple environments
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, user guides, and development standards
  • Support system testing, internal control validation, and corrective action initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to educate users on automation best practices and platform capabilities
  • Apply secure coding practices and ensure solutions comply with applicable policies and audit readiness standards
