About The Position
We are actively seeking a Junior Level Software Engineer with a range of skills and a passion for learning new things who can apply their skills to developing high-quality, real-time embedded software for fielded electronics platforms. BAE Systems in Greenlawn, NY has recently been awarded new programs and is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth. When you become a member of our team, you will work across multiple disciplines and collaborate with Systems, Hardware and Test Engineers to impact all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle. Requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills that translate to working, maintainable software.
- Able to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in a high level software language such as Java, C++, C, or Python
- Coursework or other experience in embedded software development.
- Working knowledge of software tools such as Jira, BitBucket, debuggers, containers, etc.
- Experience with Agile Development and DevSecOps
- Experience developing on Windows/Linux Operating Systems
- Experience using git or another version control system
- Familiarity with Unit Testing frameworks
- Active Secret Clearance
