Software Engineer II
About The Position
This is a permanently remote, work-from-home position where you will author and maintain software applications of varying complexities and on varying tech stacks in the healthcare space. You will assist level 4 and lead engineers to develop, modify and maintain software applications for internal and external client use, and provide first-level support on common operational concerns. You will work collaboratively with internal resources to assess and understand technical specifications and business requirements for new systems, and maintain current modules, applications, or processes in production. You will actively participate on an Agile scrum team, sizing work efforts, decomposing functionality, and iteratively delivering value. This role involves unit testing, following directives from project mentors, triaging production issues and affecting solutions, code spelunking, and performing software design and coding according to SKYGEN and accepted secure coding patterns. You will also work collaboratively with internal team members on investigating and fixing defects and act as the first level of operational triage support as necessary, as well as develop and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
- Associates Degree or equivalent years of experience or equivalent certification.
- Knowledge of software design and development techniques.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to others.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals and communication styles.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Knowledge and proficiency in various technical areas: Object Oriented Design, ASP.NET Web Form Development, ASP.NET MVC Development, .Net Core API (RESTFul) development, C#, Angular, JavaScript, Secure coding patterns, Visual Studio, SQL Server or any Relational DB.
- Typically 2-4 years of experience in software development.
Nice To Haves
- Expertise in SQL is preferred.
- Full-stack tech background.
- Worked with REACT.
- Experience with AI coding tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field highly preferred.
- Programming languages (C#).
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge and proficiency in: HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, Typescript, Agile Development Methodology.
