About The Position

CTG is seeking a Software Engineer II to support a cloud migration initiative for our client. This role will focus on migrating .NET-based APIs from an OpenShift environment to Azure Cloud, including application updates, pipeline enhancements, and cloud modernization efforts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of systems analysis and application development experience.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Platform.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong development experience with C#.
  • Experience with Python and Bash scripting.
  • Experience supporting cloud migration or modernization initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of application development practices, platforms, and integration concepts.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience migrating applications from OpenShift to Azure environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native application development and deployment practices.
  • Experience with enterprise application frameworks and integrated systems.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with migration of .NET applications and APIs from OpenShift to Azure Cloud.
  • Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement application solutions and enhancements.
  • Modify application code and CI/CD pipeline processes to support cloud migration requirements.
  • Develop and maintain scalable, reliable software solutions using modern development practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues.
  • Collaborate with Development, Operations, and Technology teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, diagrams, and system support materials.
  • Participate in testing activities including test planning, execution, debugging, and validation.
  • Evaluate application performance and recommend improvements to technology, processes, and standards.
  • Support project planning, technical estimates, milestone tracking, and delivery activities.
