About The Position

We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our DV+ Delivery Engineering team where you will work on a globally distributed ad serving system that handles hundreds of millions of requests a day. You have the opportunity to take on project initiatives to improve the delivery of our systems, tackle hard technical challenges, and contribute to a small team of passionate individuals.

Requirements

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of relevant work experience in software development
Strong development experience in modern C++ (C++17/20) or Rust for backend systems
Strong understanding of low-level systems programming, memory management, concurrency, algorithms, and data structures
Experience with agile development and CI tools like git and Jira
Postgres or other Relational DB experience with SQL and Table design

Nice To Haves

Experience with asynchronous I/O frameworks and multithreaded design
Experience with high-volume, distributed systems
General Ad Technology experience, ideally with header bidding technologies in a production environment

Responsibilities

Participate in the backend design, development, testing, release, and maintenance of low-latency core components as they relate to a critical advertising buying platform
Work with the team to deliver projects within deadlines and contribute your technical expertise
Be a creative problem-solver able to design and implement reliable and maintainable solutions to challenging problems
Translate business requirements into technical designs and project plans
Write high-performance, memory-safe, and production-ready code in C++ or Rust along with comprehensive unit tests
Respond to feature requests, bug reports, performance issues, and ad-hoc questions
Work collaboratively with multiple teams to deliver quality software
Support operation of services in production
Perform design and code reviews
