This team is responsible for the development and advancement of technical and operational functions driving worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney’s content, including the media supply chain, storage, distribution operations, media localization, and transmission. The Software Engineer II role is part of the Production Support Engineering team, focusing on ensuring high quality for systems within the Content Platforms & Operations portfolio. This role involves working with both legacy and modern applications to support customers across DEEP&T and The Walt Disney Studios, covering the ordering, creation, safeguarding, and delivery of film, television, and music assets globally. The primary functions include developing support, monitoring, and deployment tools, resolving high-level support issues, addressing defects, and maximizing system uptime. The engineer will collaborate with various teams including product, information security, QA, software engineering, systems, network, and database teams. The role requires the ability to work with incomplete information, communicate with diverse user levels, navigate complex processes, and adapt to unfamiliar technologies. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, a strong communicator, a team player, a creative problem solver, and eager to learn.
