This role will focus on a large, complex Salesforce org that supports the entire student journey, from enrollment to graduation. The platform includes over 300 flows, 2000+ Apex classes, and integrates with systems like Banner (SIS), ServiceNow, and Kafka, serving thousands of internal users daily. The engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining automation, integrations, and platform capabilities to support over 150,000 students. The work directly impacts student success in areas such as enrollment, financial aid processing, and mentor connections. The team utilizes Copado for CI/CD, follows a trigger framework pattern, and deploys through a structured promotion pipeline, valuing readable, testable code. The Salesforce engineering team is part of WGU's Ed Tech Engineering organization, collaborating with Product, Marketing, Operations, Enrollment, and Student Services stakeholders, and practices Agile (Scrum). This is a full-time, in-office position requiring 5 days per week in Salt Lake City.
