About The Position

Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Software Engineer II [Embedded / Radar] to be part of their product development team for the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group. This role involves working on technical problems and providing innovative solutions with minimal guidance, contributing to all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration. The engineer will develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities, utilize investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions, and work with teams across multiple disciplines, internal and external. They will also participate in program and customer meetings/reviews, support team leads regarding technical decision making and problem resolution, help ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, and quality, and support system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed. The position is located onsite at the El Segundo, CA Campus and requires the ability to obtain "special access programs" (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment.

Requirements

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Development experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related languages/tools.
Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS
The ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret U.S. security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Current DoD Secret and Top Secret Clearance
Introductory Experience with design, code, integration, and test of software into a large software baseline and large system
Proven ability to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) Clearances
Experience developing Radar Software applications
Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.
Direct experience with Agile methodologies.
Analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues.
Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars.
