About The Position

Konik is partnering with an innovative engineering and manufacturing company seeking a Software Engineer II to support the development of advanced electronic test systems. This role focuses on software design, development, debugging, testing, and integration of software solutions used within high-performance hardware systems. The ideal candidate will have experience developing software in C++ or C#, strong debugging skills, and an interest in working at the intersection of software and hardware. This is an opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams while contributing to products from initial design through customer deployment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong programming experience with C++ and/or C# in a Microsoft Visual Studio environment.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, software debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience using source control systems such as Git or CVS.
  • Familiarity with project management and issue tracking tools such as Jira or Confluence.
  • Strong ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hardware systems, software testing, Python, Java, SQL, communication protocols (MODBUS, Ethernet), UX/UI design, or database integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and support software solutions for complex electronic test systems and high-power hardware platforms.
  • Create software design documentation, development plans, and test procedures to ensure product requirements are met.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex software implementations while improving system performance and reliability.
  • Integrate software solutions with hardware systems and collaborate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and customer teams.
  • Participate in code reviews, software testing, and final product releases.
  • Document and transition software solutions to manufacturing and support teams.
  • Provide technical support for new and existing products, including customer-facing troubleshooting when needed.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to execute software development initiatives.
