Software Engineer II, Data Automation
About The Position
Klaviyo is growing rapidly and is seeking Software Engineers to join their teams. The Data Automation team specifically builds tooling to assist Data Platform engineers in provisioning and testing infrastructure. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining systems for mission-critical analytics infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams, creating infrastructure, writing high-quality code, and operating large-scale systems in a production environment. Klaviyo operates a real-time data platform built for massive scale on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and encourages engineers to build, own, and scale features end-to-end. They foster a culture of learning new technologies and pushing boundaries.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience in a software engineering discipline.
- Proficient in using at least one modern programming language.
- Able to communicate well.
- Able to work with others on a team.
- Able to learn continuously and adapt to a high growth environment.
- Able to stick with and solve difficult problems.
- Experience experimenting with AI in work or personal projects.
- Excited to dive in and learn fast about AI.
- Hungry to responsibly explore new AI tools and workflows, finding ways to make work smarter and more efficient.
Nice To Haves
- Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems in a cloud computing environment.
- Experience provisioning infrastructure using Terraform or a similar infrastructure as code tool.
- Experience performance tuning and scaling systems.
- Experience with OLTP and OLAP databases.
- Experience with high volume data processing and storage systems.
- Experience using Linux operating systems.
