About The Position

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our SMS team, which is responsible for building and scaling Braze’s SMS and RCS channels. This team fully owns both channels within the product, from composition and sending to message responses and analytics. It also owns several supporting services for Chat messaging, including our internal click tracking and link shortening service. As a software engineer on the team, you will ship high-value fullstack features quickly while driving initiatives from concept to delivery. You will step into key technical areas as a primary owner, solve open-ended problems, and help keep our platform dependable as traffic expands. We greatly value driven engineers who collaborate well across teams and functions, communicate clearly with peers and leadership alike, and bring a continuous learning mindset to the group. Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-stack development experience
  • Professional experience building distributed systems at scale
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, data structures and algorithms
  • A self starter with great communication and organizational skills
  • Prior experience working in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Professional experience with any of: Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, TypeScript
  • Experience with agile processes
