We're looking for an object-oriented Software Engineer who takes pride in backend development to contribute to building innovative, scalable applications in pursuit of a great user experience. You’ll help develop the next generation of residential products, apps, and services. You’ll gain experience in many different areas and have the opportunity to make a real impact to the company and real estate industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field)
- A track record of commitment to prior employers
- 3+ years of production development experience with C#, .NET (or .NET Core) and/or Python
- Experience delivering products that meet specifications and performance SLA
- Experienced in unit, performance, and automation testing
- Deeply understand what drives the business for which you are building software
Nice To Haves
- Experience in relational database design (AWS RDS, MS SQL) including performance tuning
- Experience with AWS S3, Step Functions, Lambda, SQS, Dynamo, ElastiCache, Apache Kafka and Datadog
- A demonstrable track record of building and launching successful products and platforms
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high performance web applications used by hundreds of thousands of users globally
- Design and develop using Object Oriented design principles and software design patterns to attain high reusability and maintainability
- Promote consistent architecture patterns for design and development within and across Homes development teams
- Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers across the organization.
- Advocate standards-driven technology
- Facilitate discussions among other .NET and database developers to exchange new ideas and improvements
- Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices.
