About The Position

We're partnering with a leading engineering and simulation technology organization seeking a Software Engineer I to join its growing development team in Tulsa. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
Experience or academic exposure to software design, development, debugging, and testing.
Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles and software development methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with C/C++ development.
Exposure to Python, C#, Fortran, Ada, or other programming languages.
Experience using Linux and Windows operating systems.
Familiarity with source control systems such as Git or Subversion.
Understanding of networking concepts and system integration.
Internship, co-op, academic project, or professional experience involving simulation, modeling, or engineering software development.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with systems, software, and project engineers to understand requirements and develop technical solutions.
Participate in software requirements definition, decomposition, and design activities.
Analyze software and hardware interface requirements.
Develop, test, and maintain software applications for simulation and training systems.
Write software in C, C++, Fortran, and other programming languages as required.
Work in Linux-based development environments.
Perform software integration, implementation, verification, and acceptance testing.
Troubleshoot software issues and identify effective solutions.
Support installation, acceptance testing, and deployment of systems at customer locations.
Work closely with software, hardware, manufacturing, and program management teams throughout project execution.
Prepare technical documentation, specifications, reports, source code, and test procedures.
Assist in identifying and mitigating technical risks throughout project development.
