Software Engineer I
About The Position
Honeywell is seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer I to join our software development team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-connected applications and services using Microsoft technologies. You will work closely with senior engineers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions supporting Honeywell's digital transformation initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who is passionate about cloud technologies, API development, modern UI frameworks, and enterprise software solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of software development experience
- Proficiency in C# and .NET/.NET Core
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and relational database concepts
- Understanding of REST APIs, web services, and API integration
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Understanding of object-oriented design principles and software development best practices
- Knowledge of source control systems such as Git

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and cloud-based services
- Configure and support API Management platforms and API lifecycle processes
- Design and optimize database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server
- Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, Blazor, or similar technologies
- Participate in software design discussions, code reviews, and technical planning sessions
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues
- Collaborate with product management, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Follow Honeywell software development, cybersecurity, and quality standards
- Support CI/CD implementation and automated deployment pipelines
- Stay current with emerging technologies and software development best practices
