About The Position

The Engineering Excellence (EE) team provides leadership, direction and accountability for platform engineering, application, system design and end-to-end implementation to meet and exceed the product or platform non-functional requirements including quality, security, reliability, availability and performance. A Software Engineer I on EE team is responsible for writing and testing code, troubleshooting and debugging issues, and implementing new features to ensure the successful delivery and ongoing improvement of software solutions. This entry-level role focuses on building foundational engineering skills and contributing to the team’s delivery of reliable, maintainable, and secure software With staff or senior team member guidance and direction, you will work on tasks to maintain and participate in implementing technology solutions to maximize performance and availability of our environment.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or higher
• 6 months-2 years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure design, system engineering, QA/testing automation, DevOps
• Hands on experience in testing methodology, testing automation framework
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work well under pressure

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, debug, and evaluate software enhancements or new programs for applications used in local, networked, cloud-based, or Internet-related environments.
• Review platform requirements and business processes, develop program logic for new applications, and analyze/modify logic in existing applications.
• Interact with users to define platform requirements and necessary modifications.
• Code, test, debug, document, implement, and maintain software applications using PL standard programming languages and technologies.
• Integrate application components and perform testing and debugging.
• Develop conversion and platform implementation plans to ensure successful deployment of platform improvements.
• Prepare and obtain approval for platform and programming documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and platform standards.
• Train users in conversion and implementation of platform.
