As a Software Engineer with the Devices Technology Group, you will play a vital role in the development and lifecycle of our collaboration device portfolio. Your work will directly influence the functionality and reliability of our products. You will contribute to the design, coding, testing, and maintenance of software solutions, working closely with senior engineers to refine your craft and ensure our software meets the highest standards of quality and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment with expected completion within 12 months, of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in C and C++ with a focus on developing software for device-level applications.
  • Practical experience using Python for scripting, automation, and prototyping tasks.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git) and standard command-line tools to support efficient development workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of Java for application development and system integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with experience identifying and resolving software defects and performance issues.
  • A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with an eagerness to learn new programming languages and adapt to evolving technologies within the Cisco ecosystem.
