About The Position

Sigma Defense is seeking a Software Engineer I to augment the core team that develops and implements a variety of computer based products for our military customers. This is an on-site position in Fairmont, WV, and telework is not possible. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 0-2 years of experience. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen and possess or be able to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher, which may be sponsored for the right candidate.

Requirements

0-2 years of experience with software engineering/development using Git based tools.
Proficiency with Python and Bash scripting in a Linux operating environment.
Working knowledge of virtualization and containerization.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.

Nice To Haves

DevSecOps and Cybersecurity background desired.
Clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Support programs related to electronic warfare systems.
Work in a structured, multidisciplinary team environment in Fairmont, WV.
Development of requirements and design specifications.
Implementation of system specifications, development of test plans, and creation of testing procedures.
System testing and installation support.
