About The Position

The Software Engineer I designs, develops, tests, debugs, and integrates embedded software for Palomar Products’ Intercommunication System. The role supports multi-level secure intercommunication products: real-time embedded solutions deployed on military air, land, and sea platforms for secure, mission-critical communications. The position works under general supervision, follows established guidelines, and typically collaborates with more senior engineers on problems of limited scope and complexity. The work is performed near a production environment. Occasional travel may be required, not to exceed 15%; travel conditions will be discussed in advance to arrange accommodations if needed. The role may occasionally require handling moderately heavy objects or materials, typically weighing 5 to 50 pounds, and physical activities including standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, and kneeling. Appropriate safety or protective equipment may be required. The role requires U.S. citizenship and, to comply with U.S. export laws and regulations, employment is limited to U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR.
