About The Position

As a Software Engineer I, you will be part of the cancer imaging research group at the Medical College of Wisconsin and support an active research program focused on brain and prostate cancer. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of radiology, pathology, and artificial intelligence in a collaborative academic research environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and curate multimodal imaging datasets, including MRI and digital pathology, in compliance with research data management standards
  • Develop and deploy deep learning tools for automated image annotation across radiology and pathology imaging data
  • Build and maintain software pipelines that integrate radiologic and histopathologic imaging data to support radio-pathomic mapping research
  • Contribute to the development of quantitative imaging tools supporting cancer clinical trials and translational research initiatives
  • Collaborate with imaging scientists, physicians, and trainees to design and implement research software solutions
  • Assist with design and implementation of experimental techniques and software analysis techniques for conducting efficient experimentation in radiology and pathology image processing.
  • Perform detailed mathematical analysis of digital imaging data and kinematic information gathered in quasistatic and dynamic testing.
  • Compile information into publishable quality formats.
  • Compile information gathered from testing and analysis to generate complete reports to faculty and outside funding organizations.
  • Assist faculty in timely preparation of manuscripts, reports, and grants.
  • Develop applications in iOS, Matlab, Python, shell scripts.
  • Deploy software onto GPU clusters, GitHub, Docker, etc.
  • Develop and maintain databases of imaging data and clinical metadata.
  • Develop GUIs for research software.
  • Perform other tasks assigned as needed.
