About The Position

We are seeking a New College Graduate, dynamic software engineer to develop applications within our Edge AI Development software platform for edge computing. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering skills and experience in developing Software-As-A-Service cloud products with emphasis on building web-based applications in a full-stack environment. This role involves developing and deploying software solutions to help our customers build embedded applications. The ideal candidate will have college or university coursework in software engineering with mainstream programming languages, data structures and database usage and web development. The candidate should have completed software projects using mainstream programming languages. Full stack web development and cloud services experience through coursework, software project experience or intern experience is valued. The candidate should have strong software engineering skills, AI model development experience or applicable experience in applying AI models and algorithms in various edge, cloud or LLM environments using industry available frameworks and languages such as Pytorch, Python, or ONNX. Candidates that have embedded or IoT experience or used Microchip microcontrollers or microprocessor products in class or coursework is highly valued.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• College coursework and 0-3 years of experience on software development and software project experience using an Agile software development lifecycle workflow.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Familiarity with SQL and database design concepts.
• Coursework in programming languages Java, C, C++, C#, Python, JavaScript or JavaScript-based frameworks such as React.js, Angular.js, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge in using machine learning development languages, tools and frameworks, such as the MPLAB Machine Learning Development Suite and Python AI/ML libraries using TensorFlow/TFLite, Pytorch, Keras, and ONNX.
• Coursework or project experience with web development using languages and technologies such as Python, PHP, Angular.js, React.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML/YAML and OAuth API communication methods.
• Understanding of Linux operating system usage and web development in a Linux environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with code development IDEs such as JetBrains and VSCode.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and edge-to-cloud integration.
• Use of Agentic AI in software development and MCP server development.
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Github/Gitlab/Bitbucket tools.
• Knowledge of data collection, preprocessing, and training neural networks in data centers.
• Solid understanding of edge computing architectures, including IoT devices, embedded systems, and real-time processing.
• Knowledge of IoT embedded computing and software/firmware development on hardware.
• Experience with edge computing platforms and optimizing AI/ML models for resource-constrained devices.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of new and existing software applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Python and C/C++.
• Develop SAAS applications in a cloud environment utilizing AWS cloud services.
• Create and define AI models in various platforms using TFLite, Tensorflow, ONNX, Pytorch and C/C++ based technologies.
• Design and implementation of AI/ML applications, models and algorithms optimized for edge computing environments in our cloud-based development and application space.
• Work closely with product management to help define project requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
• Utilize best practices in software development, including code reviews, unit testing, integration, CI/CD and DevOps workflows, Software Defined Lifecycle and software security requirements.
• Develop SAAS applications in a cloud-hosted environment.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues.
• Assist with the documentation of software solutions, including technical specifications and user guides.
• Work with customers and provide support to end-users when necessary.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in software development, AI/ML and edge computing technologies to ensure our solutions remain at the cutting edge.
