Software Engineer I (C++)
About The Position
ScriptPro is seeking a Software Engineer I (C++) to join their dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and supporting software solutions within a cross-functional team, focusing on building foundational skills in C++ programming and robotics concepts. The engineer will contribute to writing clean, reliable code, participating in code reviews, and troubleshooting issues, all while learning development best practices under the guidance of Senior Software Engineers. ScriptPro is a leader in developing and supporting robotics and services for pharmacies across the United States and Canada, aiming to revolutionize the pharmacy industry and improve patient care through innovative technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience
- 0-2+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficient in C++ programming and robotics concepts
- Familiarity with source control, build systems, and CI/CD concepts
- Understanding of software development fundamentals and design principles
- Experience with modern development frameworks and tools
- Exposure to databases, APIs, and distributed systems
- Proactive approach to personal growth and adapting to new technologies or processes
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across cross-functional teams and all organizational levels
- Must have high-speed reliable internet access with a hard-wired connection
- Must have a distraction free home office workspace
- Must be willing to participate in video virtual meetings (camera on)
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain software features and bug fixes
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Owners, QA, and other engineers to refine requirements and deliver solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects and performance issues
- Follow established coding standards and development processes
- Contribute to documentation and technical knowledge sharing
- Perform other duties as assigned
