Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) Connected is a Google-managed hybrid cloud platform connected to GCP for edge/on-premises deployments. Both products build on top of enterprise grade hardware, leveraging open source technologies to enable a shorter (and more cost effective) time to market for customers. The Cluster team is responsible for providing an end-to-end, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)-like experience for managing Kubernetes clusters for all of GDC products. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience programming in Python or Go.
Experience with large scale distributed systems, distributed computing.
Experience with cloud compute platforms such as Kubernetes, cloud functions.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
Experience developing accessible technologies.
Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.

Responsibilities

Write product or system development code.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Work on different parts of the cluster management component stack described below and different phases from analysis, designing, implementation, debugging, execution and maintenance.
Work on shaping new products from design to execution with Tech Leads, Product Managers, making significant impact through contributions on features.
