SimSpace serves as an AI Proving Ground where organizations can confidently train, test, and outmaneuver adversaries in any environment. Trusted by allied governments, militaries, enterprises, and research institutions worldwide, SimSpace enables adaptive, AI-ready defenses that stay ahead of evolving threats. Founded in 2015 by experts from U.S. Cyber Command and MIT Lincoln Laboratory, the platform unifies training, testing, and validation in a realistic, live-fire simulation—helping teams evaluate security investments, optimize performance, and compress cyber readiness cycles from months to days. SimSpace is looking for a Software Engineer, Full Stack to join one of our application teams and help deliver high-quality product capabilities across the full development lifecycle, from definition and design through implementation, testing, release, and maintenance. You’ll work across the stack—expanding APIs, building backend services, improving frontend experiences, modeling data, and helping ensure the systems we build are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with customer needs. As a Software Engineer you’ll contribute with increasing autonomy while partnering closely with UX, Product, Data Science, QA, and other engineers. You’ll help break down ambiguous problems, make sound implementation decisions, participate in planning and retrospectives, demo your work, and contribute to the team’s engineering practices through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing. This is a hands-on full-stack engineering role for someone who has built production software and is ready to take ownership of well-scoped features, collaborate across disciplines, and help raise the quality and reliability of the systems they work on.
